India (summary 28aug - 9sep07)
Again, i m reminded of india being e land of extremes.
And i will plan to visit india again :)
This recent visit was for a 3-days teachings by HH Dalailama for e ppl of s.e. asia (by a Spore organiser). That's e main-dish, i thought, n e added side-dish would be a visit to Dehra Dun.
Of course, it turned out that e visit to dehradun was so interesting.. & a highlight in my memory.My dad was coming to the HHDL teachings, n we met as plan'd in Dharamsala on 1sep.
Here's e dates:
28 aug: Delhi
29-31aug: Dehradun (Kagyu college, Navdanya organic farm, Stupa/Big Buddha/Sakya temple)
1-6sep: Mcleod ganj, Dhramsala (HH Dalailama teachings)
7-8sep: Pelampur (Tashijong, DGL nunnery, Taragath palace)
9sep: Delhi
Expenditure:

Guesthse, meals, coach ~ S$320, India visa (incl trip to kl for appln) ~ S$250
Total basic = S$1450
Gifts, Dana(donations), Misc = S$250
